Opening in September of 2015, Silver Lake Bed and Breakfast is a completely restored pre-revolutionary home in Dayton, Virginia. The log cabin was built in 1750 and the original bluestone chimneys and log framing has withstood the test of time. The interior of the house was completely renovated between the years of 2013-2015, and so the amazing structure is now complemented with modern and updated luxuries. Guests have the opportunity to embrace the history of the area while staying in comfort. We promise your trip will be one to remember because of the great accommodations, peaceful surroundings, and delicious breakfast.
We offer a wide range of accommodations to suit every need and budget. Each of our rooms offer a cozy yet spacious environment, that compliment the history of our home. The test of time is represented in the exposed wooden logs of our cabin. Along with the beautifully crafted bluestone chimneys that are original to this magnificently crafted home.
Our Bed and Breakfast is nestled in the valley of our beautiful Shenandoah Mountains. Within these winding mountains flows the rich culture of people, history, and food. In our home we try to portray that culture by creating recipes and serving dishes that incorporate produce grown from our local farmers. Our breakfast characterizes the history of our home and neighbors in every way.
